Carp reference genome

The carp reference genome been released as presented in the following manuscript: Genome sequence and genetic diversity of the common carp, Cyprinus carpio by Peng Xu et. al. Although this reference consists of a bit more than 1000 contigs it may be desired to use only the first 50 (expected number of chromosomes) chromosomes instead for highthroughput sequencing analysis. There are important links about the Cyprinius Carpio (carp) genome assembly[1,2] explaining how the genome was produced.

Carp growth parameters

The basis for the estimation of the growth progression of is taken from scientific literatury, mostly on wild carps [3,4]. Once collected sufficient datapoints we shall provide possible differences in growth between WT carps, koi carps and hopefully get to the point where we can study subclasses.
